'Do you wish you could be more flexible? Have more strength to carry out those day to day tasks? Do you suffer from recurring back issues?
If the answer is YES then Pilates may be the answer! Pilates is a series of low impact exercises carried out on your mat and all the exercises can be adapted to suit individuals' capabilities.
Pilates focuses on strengthening your core (deep postural muscles) which support and stabilises your body which in turn helps to prevent injuries. Incorporated into the class are a series of stretches and mobilisation exercises releasing any tension held in your body. Finally, balance! We also focus on balance in some of the classes which unfortunately declines somewhat as we get older.
So in my mind Pilates should be incorporated into your weekly exercise routine and I promise in time you will feel the benefits'.
Classes are an hour long with options to book for the whole term, or pay as you go, per class.
